A Florida man is accused of luring a duck with bread, then snapping its neck, wildlife officials said.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said it received a complaint from a resident in Tampa that the man assaulted the animal Thursday in the Town 'N Country neighborhood, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

A witness said a man in a red vehicle drove inside an apartment complex and lured ducks with bread, the newspaper reported.

The man then grabbed one of the ducks and used his hands to snap the bird's neck, the Times reported.

"I mean, he just thought it was the funniest thing that he killed the duck and as he was leaving, he was waving to me," the witness told Bay News 9.

The man then put the bird in his vehicle and drove away, according to the newspaper. The witness said she took a photo of the man driving away, the television station reported.

The witness filed a complaint with the Fish and Wildlife Commission.
