Mark DesErmia lost a necklace on Siesta Key beach when he was 16.
Since then, he has found more than 1,000 rings, including a Purple Heart ring and a 1967 Stanley Cup ring that belonged to a star player, over about 25 years using a metal detector and sifting the sand for lost riches, Bay News 9 reported.
He searches almost daily for in an attempt to return lost items to their rightful owners.
The latest ring he found. The one with the name “Oldulia” and the date “12-25-55” engraved on it, is special. He posted a photo of it on social media.
"If I could reunite it with at least their family members, I'd just be so overwhelmed," DesErmia told Bay News 9.
