Police interrogated an 18-year-old young man for nearly an hour and a half in July before he admitted to accidentally shooting and killing his friend in Orlando, newly released video from authorities shows.

Carrevious Davis, 18, kept his head down and mumbled short answers to detectives in the video released by police, which was recorded July 18.

Police questioned Davis about why he vanished after his friend, 17-year-old Tatyana Semion, was shot at his sister's apartment on July 11. Eventually, he can be heard admitting he accidentally shot his friend.

"All I heard was a gun go off,” Davis says in the video. “I just blinked, and I opened my eyes and then I looked, and I see Taty on the ground.”

Davis maintained his innocence through most of the interrogation. He initially told police he didn't know who shot Semion.

Witnesses told detectives Davis accidentally shot Semion during a game of Russian roulette, which he suggested they play.

Davis initially told police Semion was shot when he accidentally dropped one of the guns on the floor. He later claimed he pulled the trigger but thought the gun wasn't loaded before admitting to playing Russian roulette.

Davis is charged with manslaughter and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

He’s expected to appear in court for his trial beginning in February 2020.
