No injuries were reported, according to WRC. CSX is investigating the incident, the television station reported.
The bridge runs parallel to a walking bridge on the Appalachian Trail, WTTG reported. Maryland State Police, Washington County fire officials, Loudoun County fire officials and the National Park Service responded at about 3:30 a.m., WRC reported.
