FTC sending $34 million in refunds to Office Depot customers

Thousands of Office Depot and Office Max customers who were duped into paying for computer diagnostic and repair services will be refunded $34 million, the Federal Trade Commission said Monday.

The refund checks will be sent to 541,000 customers who went to the office supply retailer between 2009 and November 2016 for a free "PC Health Check" and were then sold services based on false scan results.
