Hours earlier, Wade appeared to confirm her firing in several posts of his own, People magazine reported.
"When I got the news that my wife was being fired — my first question was obviously why!?" he wrote. "I am still waiting on a good answer to that question. But if anyone knows @itsgabrielleu or have heard of her, you know she's an advocate for our community and culture."
He added: "As proud as [I was] of her being selected as a judge on #AGT — I am even more proud of her standing up for what she stands for, and that's US."
Wade went on to praise Union for "not losing sight of the lessons we've talked about teaching our daughter," Kaavia, 1, People reported.
“Men lie, Women lie, numbers don’t” Over this past year I’ve been approached by many people saying that my wife @itsgabrielleu is the main reason they’ve started watching #AGT or that they love her insight and sincerity on the show.

The couple's comments came five days after Variety reported that Union and fellow judge Julianne Hough would not be back for the show's next season. The entertainment outlet later reported that Union had pressed producers to alert human resources after guest judge Jay Leno made an "anti-Asian joke," but a formal complaint was never filed. She also raised concerns about other incidents involving possible racism and complained about judge Simon Cowell smoking inside, according to Vulture.
