The milestone birthday is next year, and they've already got about a third of the trips done.
Brad Ryan had the idea after his grandmother said she regretted not having traveled more when she was younger, so they embarked on their first trip together to the Great Smoky Mountains, CNN reported.
"I remembered a prior conversation with my grandma Joy when we [were] discussing my 2009 Appalachian Trail hike from Georgia to Maine and she expressed regret that she had never seen the mountains and explored the great outdoors throughout her life. So, I invited her to join me on my weekend escape to the Smokies," Brad Ryan told "GMA."
That trip was in 2015, and they've hit 29 locations so far, "Good Morning America" reported.
They're now trying to hit all 61 parks and Brad Ryan has set up a GoFundMe to help bankroll the trips.
He's also documenting the journeys on Instagram and Facebook.
