Two people were thrown from a house when the home exploded after a resident lit a crack pipe inside it, investigators said. Another is considered missing.

Detroit fire officials said a 46-year-old woman started smoking crack, sparking an explosion at the house Friday, The Detroit New reported.

She was found about a block away; a 42-year-old man was found in the backyard. A 65-year-old man who was at first considered dead may have just walked away.

"If they haven't found him by now, and he's under there, he'd have the whole house on top of him, and he probably wouldn't survive that. I can't completely rule it out, but it's highly unlikely." Detroit Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell told The Detroit News. "We're changing the status from 'deceased' to 'missing.'"
