"Star Trek: Picard" starts 20 years after the end of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" with a retired Picard living on his family's vineyard. Other cast members from the series will appear including Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner. They will be joined by Allison Pill and Santiago Cabrera, The Advocate reported.
Originally Stewart declined to bring Picard back to life, but reconsidered thanks to the "ideas and concepts" the new series brings, The Standard reported.
“Star Trek: Picard” premieres on CBS All Access, the network’s streaming service, on Thursday.
