The woman came back to the counter and tried to place an order, but Eduardo Valenzuela was nearby and demanded that they use the drive-thru, investigators said.
While in the drive-thru, the woman mouthed “help me” to an employee. It was around this time that deputies arrived at the scene.
The woman told investigators she was in fear for her life.
She said that Valenzuela had been violent to her in the past and had threatened her earlier in the day. Investigators found a firearm, which was stolen from out of state, in the trunk of the vehicle.
Valenzuela was arrested and charged with making criminal threats, possessing stolen property and being a felon in possession of a firearm, deputies said.
