"Winning (the) photo search is an opportunity to tell Magnolia's story and shed light on all the beautiful and different ways families are made," Courtney Earl, Magnolia's mother, told KRON.
Friday's big reveal on Today came one day before Magnolia's first birthday and represented a first for the iconic campaign: Magnolia is the first Gerber spokesbaby to be adopted.
"Adoption is incredibly special to our family's story," Courtney Earl told the TV station.

Meanwhile, Magnolia will be featured on Gerber's social media channels and marketing campaigns for the next year, and her family was awarded a $25,000 prize plus $1,000 from Gerber Childrenswear, $1,000 from Walmart and phones with one year of unlimited free service from Verizon.
"Mommy always says a family is built on love. We may all look different, but we're one family, Magnolia's father Russell Earl told Today.
The couple also has 12-year-old Whitney and 8-year-old Charlotte, who was also adopted.
