Police were called to a residence in Flint just after midnight Friday, the television station reported. Police found Sheletha Furleases Graves, 51, on the living room couch with a gunshot wound to her head.
Investigators detained Graves' two adult sons at the scene and arrested Chavez Wyatt, WJRT reported.
Sunday at the Genesee County Jail, a spent shell casing passed through Wyatt's digestive system, authorities said. According to police, Wyatt swallowed the cartridge, WDIV reported.
That’s when police filed seven charges against Wyatt, the television station reported.
Wyatt is awaiting arraignment in Genesee County District Court.
