A spokesman for Ecclestone -- a model, socialite, and daughter of former Formula 1 Chief Executive Berne Ecclestone -- said the theft in the 55-room house occurred Dec. 13, CNN reported. Tamara Ecclestone and her husband, Jay Rutland, had just left the country, the BBC reported.
Thieves reportedly entered the home through a garden before breaking into safes hidden in the bedroom of the home, police said.
Mester and Savastru appeared in court Saturday, police said. Authorities said two other men who were arrested have been released.
