The method seems to be working. Amy Steven Seal, who owns matchmaking business The LDS Matchmaker, which caters to followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, told KSL-TV nearly 1,000 women have applied to meet the mystery suitor since the billboards went up May 3.
The suspense is building . . .

The bachelor is keeping his identity secret, save for a few details. He’s between 31-45 years old, 6 feet, 1 inch tall and “tall, dark and handsome,” Seal said.
“He really wants kids. He’s never been married, has no children,” she said. “And he’s very committed to making that happen in whatever creative way that needs to happen.”
Erin Schurtz, also of The LDS Matchmaker, told The Salt Lake Tribune that the mystery man is a devoted member of the LDS church, and spent much of his 20s in an area with few dating opportunities for people of the same faith.
The billboards direct interested women to visit www.ldsmillionairematchmaker.com to fill out an application. Applicants are asked to provide photographs and details like age, education level, body type, hobbies and a description of their involvement in the LDS church.
After the May 31 application deadline, the matchmaking team will whittle down the applicants to 15 to 20 finalists, who will meet the bachelor in an “exclusive VIP event” June 7.
After the June 7 event, two women will be selected for follow-up dates.
While the format of the event may be reminiscent of the matchmaking reality show, “The Bachelor,” Schurtz emphasized that the mystery millionaire is on a serious quest for love -- not fame.
“It’s not for entertainment purposes,” she said. “We’re actually doing it to help him find somebody.
