The books are actually based on the classes the fictional students take throughout their years at Hogwarts.
It has been 21 years since "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was published, according to CNN.
The first two new books, “A Journey through Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts” and “A Journey Through Potions and Herbology” will be released on June 27.
The other two books in the series, “A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy” and “A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures” will come out later, but a date has not been released. However, Amazon is listing the date as July 25 for the Divination book and Aug. 22 for Magical Creatures.
The books will feature drawings by Rohan Daniel Eason, as well as notes, manuscript pages and sketches found in "Harry Potter: A History of Magic," which the four new books are based upon.
The books are available for preorder on Amazon, Apple and Kobo.
This isn't the first time that author J.K. Rowling has expanded the Potterverse. She has also published additional "textbooks" like "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" and "Quidditch Through the Ages."
There is also the "Fantastic Beasts" series of films and the play, and subsequent book, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," the Independent reported.
