School resource officers arrested Noemi Hernandez-Madrigal, 18, Alessandra Cardenas-Hernandez, 18, and a 16-year-old boy Wednesday morning at San Luis High School, according to the San Luis Police Department.
Hernandez-Madrigal had three bags containing more than 3,200 pills known as "M30 pills," which tested positive for fentanyl, police said. Police believe Hernandez-Madrigal intended to sell the pills, which had an estimated street value of $48,000, AZFamily.com reported.
Cardenas-Hernandez was in possession of drug paraphernalia, a narcotic drug and illegal drugs in a drug-free school zone, police said. The 16-year-old boy was arrested on the same charges, police said.
Hernandez-Madrigal and Cardenas-Hernandez were booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Facility for felony charges, police said. The boy was booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Detention Center for felony charges as well.Police said the investigation is ongoing.
