The declaration will make the 20 affected counties eligible for federal dollars to help repair damages that included damage to roads, bridges and buildings.
The counties named in the declaration include: Adams, Athens, Brown, Gallia, Guernsey, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton and Washington counties.
The damaging storms occurred between Feb. 5 and 13. Many of the affected counties were still recovering from severe flooding in 2018.
