During a detention hearing, prosecutors in Camden County said Reynolds held a cleansing wipe over Axel’s nose and mouth, suffocating her child.
Her attorney said she did not kill her son.
Officials said that in May 2018, Reynolds ran out of her home, screaming for help and holding her son who was unresponsive. Emergency crews found Axel on the front lawn of the home, according to the AP.
Reynolds will remain in jail until her trial. The judge said she faces a life sentence, the AP reported.
