Pryor, 30, was a standout high school football player in his hometown of Jeannette, Pennsylvania. He played collegiately at Ohio State and was drafted in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft by the Oakland Raiders.
The 6-foot-4 player was seventh in the NFL in 2016 in total yards while playing for the Cleveland Browns. His best season as a receiver, he caught 78 passes for 1,049 yards that year. Since that time, he's been dealing with various injuries before he was released ahead of this season by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
A close family friend of Terrelle Pryor told me the family does expect Pryor to survive the stabbing, and that several family members are by his side post-surgery as doctors monitor his progress. We will be following the story this AM on @SportsCenter
