The "Tidal Twister" roller coaster got stuck around 4:45 p.m., leaving riders suspended about four feet off the ground, KNSD reported.
All the passengers were able to safely jump off the ride around 5:15 p.m. after an attendant released the safety restraints. There were no injuries, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
The ride, intended for children and families, travels along a figure-eight track at about 30 mph, according to the park. At the center of the track is a barrel roll. It opened in May.
Park officials did not comment.
