Happy birthday, Prince Louis!

The youngest child of Britain's Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, turned 2 on Thursday.

Kensington Palace tweeted new photos of the adorable royal Wednesday and Thursday. The duchess, formerly known as Kate Middleton, snapped the playful photos, which show Louis using finger paints, earlier this month, according to the royal family.

Other members of the royal family also took to social media to share well-wishes for the prince.

"Happy Birthday to Prince Louis," Buckingham Palace tweeted Thursday. "HRH is The Queen's seventh great-grandchild. Today he turns two!"

Clarence House also marked the occasion by sharing a photo of Prince Charles embracing his grandson.

Louis has two older siblings, Princess Charlotte, who turns 5 on May 2, and Prince George, who is 6.
