It appears that 2015 is off to a rocky start for Sarah Palin, at least on social media.
On New Year’s Day, Palin posted photos of her son Trig standing on the family dog. Palin appears to praise her son’s actions by writing, “May 2015 see every stumbling block turned into a stepping stone on the path forward. Trig just reminded me.”
Palin indicated that Trig, who has Down syndrome, stood on the dog to help her with the dishes.
While some of her Facebook followers were not offended by the image, others questioned her parenting skills and animal rights advocates were outraged that a pet would be considered a stepping stone.
The Facebook post has has quickly gone viral, generating thousands of comments.
