Sheriff's Office: Florida woman wanted for biting off part of boyfriend's thumb

Authorities are seeking a Florida woman after they say she bit off part of her boyfriend's thumb during a fight.

Yesenia Casiano, 39, hit her boyfriend with open and closed fists, kicked him in the stomach and "willfully and intentionally" bit off part of his thumb, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said. The fight took place inside a home where the couple lived, WFLA-TV reported.

Children living at the home witnessed the fight and saw a piece of the man's thumb on the floor of the living room, the Sheriff's Office said.

The victim went to a hospital, and Casiano fled in a back Ford van with the tag IHMM70, the Sheriff's Office said.

Casiano is wanted on a charge of domestic aggravated battery resulting in serious injuries. Her whereabouts are unknown, according to the Sheriff's Office.
