The New Orleans Police Department has apparently gotten an arrest warrant for Odell Beckham Jr.

The warrant, signed by a judge Thursday, is for simple battery, WDSU reported.

Video was leaked showing the Cleveland Browns wide receiver possibly touching the backside of a police officer, WDSU reported.

TMZ obtained the video allegedly showing Beckham slapping the officer, WAFB reported.

The incident apparently happened in the LSU locker room at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Cleveland Browns have responded to the incident on Twitter, saying they are in touch with Beckham and his representatives.

Beckham is a New Orleans native and a former LSU wide receiver.

Another unrelated incident has Beckham's behavior under the microscope. Video was recorded of Beckham passing out money to LSU players. Originally it was thought that the money was play money, but the video showed that it was real cash, ESPN reported.

A spokesperson for LSU said the money was not real.

The act of handing college players cash is a violation of NCAA bylaws, ESPN reported.
