The girl saw a 15-inch black snake with a yellow ring at Terminal C of the airport and notified at Transportation Security Administration official, NJ.com reported.
The TSA official placed a gray checkpoint bin over the snake to prevent it from slithering away, according to News12 New Jersey. Passengers were sent to another line, and Port Authority police removed the snake, the television station reported.

The snake was harmless, TSA officials said. In a news release, TSA officials said the reptile "immediately brought to mind the 2006 action thriller ‘Snakes on a Plane,’ in which an assassin released deadly snakes on the plane, frightening passengers and crew.”
"It's common for travelers to accidentally leave items at the checkpoint," TSA's New Jersey Federal Security Director Tom Carter told NJ.com. "Typically, people leave items such as their keys, sunglasses, ID, hats and gloves, but this is the first time someone has left a snake behind."
