Pittsburgh Steelers’ coach Mike Tomlin continues to stand behind quarterback Mason Rudolph’s claims he never used a racial slur in a brawl involving the Browns’ Myles Garrett last season.

A brawl erupted at the end of the game Nov. 14, 2019, as Garrett ripped off Rudolph’s helmet and hit him over the head with it.

Garrett was suspended indefinitely but was reinstated by the NFL on Wednesday. In an interview with ESPN, the Browns defensive end doubled down on his claims about how the fight started.

Rudolph has adamantly denied the continued accusations from Garrett and the NFL previously said it found no evidence a slur was used.

Rudolph’s agent has also issued a statement in defense of the Steelers’ quarterback.
