Officials said she was working at Albemarle Middle School on Thursday morning when she became belligerent toward the students and started calling them names, WSOC-TV reported.
During the incident, Wilkins made threats of mass violence toward the school. Eventually, the school resource officer stepped in and removed her from campus before anyone could get hurt.
Wilkins was arrested Thursday evening, the television station reported.
Wilkins is being held under a $30,000 bail and is expected to appear in court March 23.
