"While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor," Taylor told Variety. "And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we've ever been through with her cancer before. So it's just been a really hard time for us as a family."

Her mother's health is one of the main reasons why Taylor Swift decided to limit her upcoming Lover Fest tour, People reported. Instead of touring for a year, Swift will do a handful of shows in the United States and Europe, Billboard reported.
"I mean, we don't know what is going to happen," the singer told Variety. "We don't know what treatment we're going to choose. It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what's going on."
Andrea Swift, 62, was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015, Taylor Swift told Vogue in a September 2019 interview.
“There was a relapse that happened ... It’s something that my family is going through,” she told the magazine.
So, instead of spending a year or more on the road in support of the album, Swift is doing a handful of Lover Fest shows in the U.S. and Europe, as well as some other festival dates, and that’s it.
Andrea Swift's cancer was the inspiration for Taylor Swift's song, "Soon You'll Get Better," Billboard reported.
