Chattanooga police said they were alerted to the woman's alleged behavior by several people who saw the video online, WTVC reported. According to an arrest affidavit, several neighbors showed police the 30 minute video in which she shook the infant and dropped her.
When officers arrived at Sexton's apartment, they reported a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, according to WBRC.
She told officers she "didn't want that (expletive) baby anyway," according to WTVC.
The New York Post reported she was taken to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. WBRC reported Sexton was charged with aggravated child abuse, Sexton was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
The infant is with Sexton's mother, WTVC reported.
Sexton is due in court Oct. 4.
