A Texas woman was reunited with her 2-month old baby after her car was stolen when she left it running at a convenience store early Sunday, authorities said.

Update 11:20 a.m. EDT May 17: Police later arrested Jonathan Rivas-Arias, 36, KSAT reported. Rivas-Arias was charged with kidnapping and theft of a vehicle, the television station reported.

Original report: The child was inside the car when it was stolen shortly before 1 a.m. at a Circle K store in San Antonio, WOAI reported. The woman told police she left the baby in her running car while she went into the store. When she returned, the car was gone, the television station reported.

Police deployed dozens of officers and a helicopter and found the car abandoned but with the child inside, WOAI reported.

The baby was found safe and asleep in the vehicle, police said. The person who stole the car has not been located, according to WOAI.
