12:35 a.m. ET Dec. 25: West to the coast

Santa is continuing his trip across the country and is expected to visit cities on the West Coast within the next hour. Watch the tracker above to track Santa's final stops.

12:30 a.m. ET Dec. 25: A good time on the Bayou

Santa is nearing New Orleans and could be talked into hanging out and listening to some music in the Crescent City. But if he holds to his schedule, his next stop will be Yazoo City, Mississippi.

12:15 a.m. ET Dec. 25: Costa Rica, Panama City, Panama on the route

Santa is delivering packages to kids on the nice list in Central America. He will be heading back toward the middle portion of the U.S. soon, where children across the Midwest and all the way out to California are urged to be in bed and asleep if they expect gifts from Santa.

Midnight ET Dec. 24: Santa hits the beach at Pensacola

Santa has made it to the Gulf of Mexico. He was just spotted over Pensacola Beach. Santa and the reindeer offer a salute to the flyers at NAS Pensacola, the home of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels.

11:45 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Kentucky is next; Atlanta go to bed

The Bluegrass State will be seeing the red-suited man any moment now. Louisville, Kentucky, children had better be tucked into bed if they expect a stash of toys in the morning. Atlanta you’re next.

11:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Into Michigan and Pennsylvania and on to Ohio

Santa’s route has him out of Canada and into Michigan, Pennsylvania and on to Akron, Ohio. Children east of the Mississippi River should be in bed now.

11:15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Into Canada then back to the U.S.

After a trip to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Santa is headed to Watertown, N.Y., where it’s freezing. Watertown is the home of the safety pin and five and dime stores.

11 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Portland, Maine, is being visited now

Children in Maine need to be in bed now. Right now. Santa is over Portland.

10:55 p.m. ET Dec. 24: New York, Santa’s in the house! Really. In the house.

From Southampton, New York, then on to Ipswich, Massachusetts, Santa is moving quickly through the easternmost portion of the U.S.

10:45 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Once around the Washington Monument

Santa made it out of the nation’s capital without incident and moved on into Pennsylvania. No snow, sleet or government shutdown slowed him down. He is heading to Jersey now.

10:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Racing up the East Coast

Santa is in Roanoke, Virginia and headed as quick as a flash up north towards the Mid-Atlantic.

10:15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: He’s in the U.S.!

Santa is over the eastern part of South Carolina. Children along the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. should be in bed NOW.

10 p.m.ET Dec. 24: Over Cuba now

Santa is crossing the island nation of Cuba as he nears the United States.

9:45 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Near the Andes

Santa is headed to Santa Cruz de la Sierra which is east of the Andes Mountains in Bolivia. The city is an old one, founded in 1,561 which makes it 1,281 years younger than St. Nicholas who was born in 280 A.D.

9:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Back in South America

Santa is back in South America in Caracas, Venezuela. He’s headed to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. It’s the world’s largest rainforest.

9:15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Picking up an escort

Santa is getting an escort to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He has now delivered 4.5 billion gifts.

9 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Heading north again

Santa is back over the Atlantic and heading north to Greenland. According to NORAD, it will take Santa seven minutes to make it from the Caribbean to Greenland, home of ice -- the island is mostly covered by the stuff.

8:45 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa is doing the Caribbean

Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sint Maarten - Santa is making the rounds of those islands we all wish we were vacationing on right about now - am I right, Dayton, Ohio.

8:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Think rainforest

Santa is headed to Cayenne, French Guiana, which sits on the northeast coast of South America. It’s known for its rainforests.

8:15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Down Argentina way

Santa is in Argentina now, home of the tango. The country is massive, and the jolly old elf will have to dance his way across 1,073,500 sq miles of the South American country.

8 p.m. ET Dec. 24: On the way to Chile

Santa has made his deliveries to the Falkland Islands and is on his way to Chile, NORAD reports. There are 18 million people in Chile.

7:45 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Down south to the cold

Santa is on his way to cold weather again, he delivered gifts to Palmer Station, Antarctica. He has now delivered 4.2 billion gifts.

7:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa is heading west across the Atlantic

Santa was last seen in Mindelo, Cape Verde, off the coast of Africa. He is heading west, flying at a tremendous speed over the Atlantic toward South America. Children in North America are being alerted to Santa’s location.

7: 15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: He’s where?

Santa just left the Faroe Islands which are about 200 miles north-northwest of Scotland. About 50,000 people live there, including an ample number of children on Santa’s good list.

7 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Crossing Bay of Biscay

The sleigh crossed the Bay of Biscay, headed north, and is over England now. In England, Santa goes by Father Christmas.

6:45 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa crosses the Sahara

Santa is over Smara, Western Sahara. That red suit is probably getting a bit hot now. The Sahara is the largest hot desert and the third largest desert in the world.

6:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Crossing the Ivory Coast

Santa is heading toward Monrovia, Liberia, on the African coast. Then it’s on to the

Labé, Guinea.

6:15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa’s heading south

Santa is in Africa now. He just left Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. He can pronounce that name, can you? (boh-boh-dyoo-las-oh)

6 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa is crossing Spain

Santa just left Cordoba, Spain. Cordoba was a major Islamic center in the Middle Ages, and is known for La Mezquita, a mosque that has stood there since 784 A.D.

5:48 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Saying au revoir to France

Santa is headed back to Spain as he crisscrosses Europe. The toy count stands at 3.6 billion toys delivered.

5:30 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa last seen in Amsterdam

Santa has delivered more than 3.5 billion toys as he heads to Belgium after leaving Amsterdam which is the capital of the Netherlands.

5:15 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa heads away from Norway

Santa is in familiar territory in the cold north. A warm red suit comes in handy when the highs and lows are in the 20s.

5 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa nears Berlin, Germany

A cold rain has greeted Santa near Berlin. Fortunately, Santa has a reindeer with a built-in headlight. He’s leading his sleigh tonight. His name starts with an “R.”

4:34 p.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa tracked in Rome

Santa Claus and his nine reindeer have been spotted on radar over the capital of Italy. He is headed west, toward Spain. He has passed out more than 3 billion toys.

9:55 a.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa makes it to the Philippines

Santa was tracked leaving Davao City, Philippines, just before 10 a.m. ET in the U.S. He’s delivered more than 1 billion toys already!

7:42 a.m. ET Dec. 24: Santa is already delivering presents

Santa and his reindeer were in Palikir in the Federated States of Micronesia. He has delivered an estimated 500 million toys, so far.
