Watch: Baby polar bear is only cub born in North America this year

Nearly one month ago, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium welcomed its newest polar bear cub, and the newborn is already ready for its closeup.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, the Ohio zoo's newest arrival is the only known cub born in a North American zoo to date in 2019, and one of only five born worldwide year-to-date.

The cub is the offspring of Aurora, 13, and Lee, 20, WJW reported.
