According to KOAT, the roofers were working on top of a building in the northeastern part of the city Friday when they saw the fire break out at the Courtyard Apartments next door.
They rushed to the scene, where they spotted a man crying for help on the second floor.
"We saw him hanging out of the window with his baby, his 2-month-old baby," one of the workers, Mason Fierro, told KOAT.
Cellphone video captured the moment that the man dropped the child to the roofers.

With help from his brother, Jermaine Gallien, and the other workers, Fierro caught the baby, as well as another small child moments later, the station reported. The crew also brought ladders to help the adults get out of the building, then knocked on doors to usher others to safety.
KOB-TV identified the parents as Gabriel Lascano and Candace Holmes, who praised the workers for saving their 2-month-old daughter and 4-year-old son.
"Without the construction guys, we would not be here," Holmes told KOB.
Cherlynn Martinez, 29, was charged with arson in connection with the blaze, KRQE-TV reported.
