The mother of a child found dead inside a car in a parking deck at Atlanta’s Emory Hospital is now facing charges.

Dijanelle Etta Fowler was charged with felony murder, concealing a death and cruelty to children a month after her daughter died, according to WSB-TV.

Police said Fowler called 911 on June 15, but made no mention of her 1-year-old daughter, Skylar. Police thought they were responding to a medical emergency involving Fowler, but when they arrived at her white Hyundai Sonata, they found the child unresponsive in the backseat. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Fowler was treated and released from Emory Hospital.

"We are currently deeming it a suspicious death," DeKalb police Lt. Lonzy Robertson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution at the time.

Police also said Skylar died in her mother's hot car while Fowler was getting her hair done, according to WSB-TV.

Fowler was arrested and jailed on Monday.
