Billions of Yahoo! customers could get up to $358 as part of a settlement following a massive data breach of the company.

CNN reported the company had multiple data breaches between 2013 and 2016. If California courts approve the $117.5 million class-action settlement, those affected could be eligible for a $358 payout or two years of free credit monitoring, the outlet reported.

USA Today reported the breach also affected accounts on Yahoo Fantasy Sports, Yahoo Finance, Tumblr and Flickr in addition to Yahoo email accounts. Those with any of those accounts could get two years of free credit monitoring services by AllClear ID or up to $358.

The site to file a claim is YahooDataBreachSettlement.com.

Here's what's needed to be eligible: A Yahoo account between Jan. 1, 2012 and Dec. 31, 2016; received notice about the data breaches; resident of the U.S. or Israel.

Like any settlement case, those who prove they already have credit monitoring may get less than the $358 depending on how many people submit claims.

"If you verify that you already have a credit monitoring service that you will keep for at least one year, you may submit a claim for a cash payment of $100.00 instead of receiving Credit Monitoring Services through the Settlement," the website said. "Payment for such a claim may be less than $100.00 or more (up to $358.80) depending on how many Settlement Class Members participate in the Settlement."

The deadline to file a claim is July 20, 2020.
