After flattening cancer, a 3-year-old Iowa boy got his wish: to ride in a bulldozer.

Forrest Alexander, who lives in the small central Iowa town of Murray. learned this week he was cancer-free after a year of treatments, KCCI reported.

Make-A-Wish Iowa surprised the boy Friday, taking him to a housing development and allowing him to sit in a real bulldozer, the television station reported.

Gabbie Alexander said her son loves bulldozers and dump trucks, so Friday’s excursion was a dream come true.

"He has had the worst year and getting it now, especially when we are all stuck at home and need new things to do, it's really nice to get everything now," she told KCCI.

The boy also received a miniature dump truck, the television station reported.
