The maker of ATM machines and retail checkout scanners detailed the layoffs in a letter to state officials on Thursday.
NCR spokesman Peter Tulupman declined to comment.
Dayton employees found out this week which workers would be offered transfers to Duluth, Georgia.
NCR announced in early June that it is moving its headquarters to Duluth by the end of next year. The company said it would keep its data center and support for local customers in Dayton.
