The 8,640-square-foot, 356-seat restaurant adjacent to Costco Wholesale in the Cornerstone development is the first Dayton-area location for the Kentucky-based Cheddar’s, which operates 44 restaurants in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina and Ohio.
Cheddar’s is a casual-dining restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, with a menu that offers smoked BBQ ribs, grilled salmon, chicken tenders, country-style fried chicken, salads and sandwiches.
“If you’re someone who wants to work in a high-volume restaurant with flexible scheduling, Cheddar’s may be the place for you,” a spokeswoman said in a Greer Companies release. “If you’re friendly and outgoing, then come apply to be a server at Cheddar’s. If you enjoy greeting people and making them feel at home, then apply for a host position. If you have a passion for cooking, you’ll love working in Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, where you’ll be preparing meals with wholesome, fresh ingredients.”
A Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern, Chick-fil-A and Domino’s Pizza shop have already opened at the Cornerstone of Centerville site. A Kroger store is under construction, and a Cabela’s outdoor store recently opened at the multi-use development.
