An outdoor deck and bar will be among the features of a $4.5 million volleyball facility and restaurant proposed in West Carrollton.

The indoor/outdoor facility planned by Spikeit LLC of Cincinnati would include a 36-foot-wide deck, outdoor food service and foot showers at the site expected to have 17 sand volleyball courts, including nine indoor courts, company officials said.

The indoor facility on the 7-acre site on West Central Avenue would include 20 garage doors with fans and ventilation for summertime use, said Larry Roberts, a Spikeit partner.

Roberts said the company is targeting an Oct. 1, 2019 opening if the land sale gets approval from the West Carrollton City Council next month.

Officials have said the facility will provide up to 50 jobs at peak times and bring more traffic to downtown West Carrollton, with the site attracting 300 to 500 people per night.
