1. Houston
The Dayton International Airport added nonstop service to Houston through United Airlines in June. The flight was so popular United brought in a larger aircraft the following month to increase seat count.
2. West Palm Beach
Travelers can fly nonstop from the Columbus International Airport to West Palm Beach as of November. The Frontier Airlines flight is currently seasonal, operating through the spring.
3. Sarasota
Cincinnati started nonstop flights to Sarasota, Florida, in April serviced by Allegiant. The airline also launched service to Sarasota from the Rickenbaker Airport in Columbus.
4. Los Cabos
Tickets are on sale now for a seasonal flight from Cincinnati to Los Cabos from May 26 to July 28 next year. Vacation Express will run the flight on Sundays for six weeks to give Ohio travelers access to Mexico’s west coast.
5. San Antonio
Though Frontier ended some flights from the Columbus Airport this year, it also launched several, including to San Antonio, Texas. The route flies twice weekly.
Frontier also added service to San Antonio from Cincinnati.
6. Jamaica
Vacation Express announced plans earlier this year to add nonstop flights to Jamaica from Jan. 21 to April 22. The flight that originates in Cincinnati will also run from May 26 to Aug. 4.
7. Seattle
Area flyers will be able to fly nonstop to Seattle through Alaska Airlines from the Columbus Airport starting in March, the airport announced earlier this year. Tickets are already on sale.
The Cincinnati airport already has nonstop service to Seattle, and Delta added year-round flights from the aiprot to Seattle this year.
8. Austin
Austin, Texas, was a hot market this year for airports, with both Delta and Frontier adding nonstop service from Cincinnati and Allegiant and Frontier adding flights from the Rickenbacker Airport in Columbus.
9. San Francisco
The Columbus International Airport announced in October that new daily nonstop flights to San Francisco will start in June. The seats are available for booking now.
10. Charleston
Allegiant is also offering new Charleston, South Carolina, service from Cincinnati.
