New home furnishings store to open in former Flower Factory space

The 81,000-square-foot store is projected to open between mid-March and mid-April, according to a HomeBuys employee at the site. The employee referred other questions to a company spokeswoman who did not immediately respond to messages left this morning.

The Flower Factory — a retailer and wholesaler of home decorations, crafts, party supplies and seasonal decorations — shut down in late October because the Ohio-based chain went out of business entirely. About 18 employees lost their job at the Washington Twp. store.
