New pizza-and-beer restaurant announced for Austin Landing

The developers of Austin Landing announced this morning that it has added the Huntington Beach, California-based BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse chain to its list of restaurants that will open at the development just off I-75 and Austin Road.

Construction on the 8,300-square-foot stand-alone facility that will house BJ's at the Austin Boulevard entrance to Austin Landing is expected to begin March 25, and the restaurant is scheduled to open this fall, according to a news release from RG Properties, Austin Landing's owner and developer.

“BJ’s is a great restaurant and provides a memorable atmosphere,” said RG Properties President Randy Gunlock. “Personally, my family and I have eaten there many times, and I think the restaurant will be a great addition to the community here at Austin Landing.”

Other restaurants coming to the development include Rue Dumaine, Alligator Annie’s, The Dublin 7 Whiskey Pub, Panera Bread and Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

BJ’s menu include its signature deep-dish pizza, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, soups, pastas, entrees and desserts. The company operates several microbreweries in addition to using contract brewers to produce and distribute BJ’s proprietary beers throughout the chain, according to the company’s web site.

BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. owns and operates 130 restaurant-pubs nationwide, including one at the Tri-County Mall in Cincinnati and two in the Columbus area.
