The city of Oakwood paid 27 employees over $100,000 in 2018, according to the Dayton Daily News Payroll Project searchable database of public employees.

The city’s highest paid employee in 2018 was City Manager Nobert Klopsch, who made $171,668, a $7,000 raise from the year prior. Klopsch has been among Oakwood’s top-paid employees and has received a raise in each year since the Dayton Daily News began its Payroll Project in 2014.

The US Census’ latest 2017 estimates have the per capita income in Oakwood at $53,777.

Of Oakwood’s 10 highest-paid employees, seven work within the city’s conjoined fire and police department. The remaining three work in city management, the parks department and the law department.

7. Jeffrey Yount, public safety lieutenant: $115,533

8. Alan Hill, public safety director: $115,495

9. Michael Jones, public safety captain: $115,021

10. Michael Tanner, public safety lieutenant: $113,788
