Two new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have been confirmed in Butler County, officials said.

There are now eight confirmed cases, and 12 people are awaiting test results. The Butler County General Health District is monitoring 32 people in the county as of Wednesday morning, according Public Information Officer Erin Smiley.

“The two new positives that we have in the county are related to the first four cases they came in contact with,” Smiley said. “They are not community spread.”
