To guard against under-age consumption, the package must be marked with “alcohol enclosed” and the manufacturer must make an effort to ensure the customer is at least 21 years old.

Buzzed Bull Creamery in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine district pushed for passage of HB160, saying it would help position the Ohio-based company to be a national leader in the emerging industry of alcohol infused ice cream.
State law changed in 2017 to allow liquor permit holders to manufacture and sell ice cream that is up to 6 percent alcohol by volume.
The bill now heads to the Senate for consideration.
