Thousands were without power Monday morning with as many as 10,849 outages reported in Montgomery County
The outage was the result of a substation that went offline, according to a tweet by DP&L.

On Sunday, 9,000 customers were without power as storms rolled through the Miami Valley. The largest outage was reported in Greene County, with 2,234 customers without power.

Regional scanner traffic indicated that several power lines were down across several counties after severe weather that also knocked down some trees and large limbs. Initial estimates from DP&L report that power could be restored between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday.
