Payless Shoes Bringing Jobs To Miami Valley

The new Payless Shoes distribution center was officially opened Friday morning in Brookville.

The new business has already generated 300 new jobs that have been filled. But, company officials say expansion plans are in the works that could bring 100 more jobs.

It's a 600,000 square foot operation for Payless and a new 200,000 square foot expansion to support Stride Rite Children's Group, which was acquired by Payless Shoes in 2007.

Job applications will be accepted online at the company's website early this summer.
