Gusty winds and hail are possible this afternoon as a cold front and rain showers move through the Miami Valley, the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported. Any hail is expected to be about the size of a pea.

Wind gusts could reach up to 40 mph, which could knock down tree limbs and affect high-profile vehicles, the NWS said.

We will start the day today with showers and gusty winds, which will last into the afternoon. The NWS said that showers will die down quickly this afternoon and evening as drier air follows a low-pressure system.

Temperatures will start out warm at around 50 degrees, and will rise only to around 58 degrees during the day. However, once showers clear and the sun goes down temperatures will drop again to a low of around 37 degrees.

Tonight will be colder with some breezy winds, and possibly some gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday will be cloudy and cold, with temperatures rising slightly from overnight lows up to around 43 degrees. There will still be breezy winds, but the wind will continue to weaken.

Sunday night will be even colder, with lows around 29 degrees. It will begin cloudy, but skies will start to clear as we go into Monday morning.

By the time the sun comes up on Monday, skies will be partly cloudy, and will continue to clear as the day goes on. Temperatures will rise to around 39 degrees.

Monday night the NWS expects clouds to start to gather again, though we will remain dry as temperatures fall to around 25 degrees.
