Crews rescue one from Great Miami River in Dayton

One person was rescued from the Great Miami River Thursday morning in Dayton.

Dayton Fire Department water rescue crews responded to the area of North Keowee Street and Stanley Avenue after a 911 caller reported seeing a person in the water.

Initial reports indicate they were hanging onto the brace of the North Keowee Street Bridge.

Rescue crews were able to quickly locate and rescue the person, according to the fire department.

They transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
