Only one employee of the city of Riverside was paid more than $100,000 in 2018, according to the Dayton Daily News Payroll Project searchable database of public employees.

That individual was City Manager Mark Carpenter, who made $102,000 in 2018. Three police sergeants came close to breaking the $100,000 threshold with the help of overtime pay that boosted their individual salaries over $16,500 apiece.
The city paid $188,616 in overtime wages in 2018, with $52,027 of that going to the three highest-paid police sergeants.
Of Riverside’s 10 highest-paid employees, nine of them work in the city’s fire or police departments.
